HomechronicleINCURIA AND ABANDONMENT: VERY SERIOUS DANGERS FOR CHILDREN WHO ATTEND THE SPALATRIELLO FIELD AND MOTORISTS WHO USE THE PARKING IN FRONT

In recent days, with a detailed news report, we denounced the presence, in the field in front of the Detached Headquarters of the Court in via Michele Mazzella in Ischia, of a football goal at risk of collapse. It is a door that represents a very serious danger to the safety of those who frequent that field since it is currently maintained by some stones placed by the boys around the posts: absurd! Well, among the comments that came under the video I published on my FaceBook profile and which has already exceeded 1,100 views, one particularly struck me. And it is the one written by Enzo Mazzella who warned us about the dangers present on another pitch shamefully abandoned by the municipal administration led by the mayor Gosi Ferrandino. And it is the one present at the Pilastri, in the Spalatriello area. “The pitch in via dello Spalatriello is even worse – Enzo wrote to us – with the doors maintained by some very dangerous irons and a safety net on the perimeter wall that is not there, and if a child falls he cannot be saved. It’s a shame!!!”. Compared to the alarm raised by our viewer, we could not fail to immediately run with our cameras on the spot and check what was reported to us. As for the doors, these are well fixed to the ground and we just can’t explain the presence on the sides of some heavy iron lilies of those that are present on the sides of the playing rectangle. They are very dangerous because if they fall on someone the consequences could be very serious. But who put them there? And why? In any case, they must be removed immediately. But the even more serious danger, as Enzo pointed out to us, is represented by a missing piece of the protective net that surrounds the perimeter wall overlooking the pitch. A danger that we dare to call death since anyone, especially in the evening, could fall down from the parking lot for several meters: crazy! But is it possible that no one has noticed this very serious danger for the dozens and dozens of children and motorists who frequent that parking lot? Ischia administrators who don’t know how to do anything but argue about who should have a little bit of extra power or who should sit in the deputy mayor’s chair, what are you waiting for to intervene? Wait for the tragedy to escape us first? But the shame of the social abandonment of one of the very few public spaces dedicated to young people from Ischia does not end there. In fact, those that once served as changing rooms on the pitch, today represent high-risk sanitation rooms as a receptacle for waste of all kinds with excrement on display almost everywhere, broken glass and bottles and broken ceramic sinks: absurd! Who protects the health of children who, playing on the pitch, enter these stinking and hygienically dangerous rooms? How can such a situation be minimally tolerated in a country that defines itself as civil or aspires to be civil? Administrators from Ischia, everyone realizes that it would certainly be too much to ask you to return the Spalatriello pitch to its old and glorious splendors, but are you at least able to eliminate the dangers? Do not worry, however, do not go into fibrillation because it would take little, very little. In fact, it would be enough to clean up and close the changing rooms as they are unusable, remove the lilies affixed by unknown persons next to the doors and close the gap created along the perimeter wall with an iron parapet. That’s all. In a few hours, a less dangerous, albeit abandoned, field could be returned to the Ischian children. Show us that you know how to do at least this …
